Ice cream

La Hogue is fortunate to stock some fantastic ice-creams from three local suppliers:

• Colette Strachan of Marybelle, Suffolk, produces an award-winning range of truly delectable ice-cream called Suffolk Meadow. Made with the milk and cream from the farm together with the highest quality ingredients, flavours like clotted cream, pistachio and Turkish delight are sublime.
• For ice-cream with a twist, the farm shop also stocks the multi-award-winning fruit cream ice from Alder Carr Farm near Needham Market in Suffolk. Fruit cream ice is made by hand with fruit from the farm, British cream and sugar. That’s all. The cream ice contains a uniquely high fruit content (33%) giving the product an exceptionally fresh and fruity taste. Fruit flavours include gooseberry and elderflower and rhubarb and stem ginger.
• Criterion Ices, near Bury St Edmunds, has consistently won awards for its superior creamy ice cream. All their ice cream is made with double cream, sugar and natural flavours only. Choose from a variety of flavours including vanilla, vanilla for diabetics and Belgian chocolate.

Confectionary/chocolate

La Hogue always carries a delectable range of chocolate and confectionary. Holdsworth Handmade Chocolates are wickedly indulgent.
